Greece's HOTTEST Sea View Apartment: Filia's Stunning A/C & WiFi Oasis!
Alright, buckle up buttercups, because I'm about to spill the (Greek) tea on Filia's Stunning A/C & WiFi Oasis, the self-proclaimed "hottest" sea view apartment in Greece. And after spending a week there? Well, let's just say my expectations versus reality were a wild ride. This review's gonna be more "real deal" than a polished brochure, so grab your ouzo (or your strongest coffee) and let's get started.
Filia's: More Than Just a Pretty View (But Seriously, That View…)
First things first: the view. Holy Mother of Poseidon, it’s jaw-dropping. I mean, I’m talking postcard-worthy, scroll-stopping, "did I really just wake up to this?" levels of stunning. You’re basically swimming in turquoise water from your balcony, sipping your morning coffee, and feeling your worries just…melt. The marketing folks weren't lying about the sea view. It's the star. Period.
Accessibility: Now, I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on accessibility. But I did poke around. They say the property offers Facilities for disabled guests and an Elevator, which is a good start. However, I found no specific details. So if you require wheelchair accessibility or other specific needs, it’s probably best to call and confirm the exact details. Don't just rely on the online blurb, trust me. I didn't, and…well, let's just say a certain "hilarious" incident involving a slippery tile in the lobby is best left unsaid. Suffice to say, double-check!
Cleanliness & Safety: A Mixed Bag (Like My Luggage After the Ferry)
Okay, this is where things get…interesting. They clearly take hygiene seriously. The Anti-viral cleaning products, Daily disinfection in common areas, and Rooms sanitized between stays are all excellent. I felt reassured on that front. They even provide Hand sanitizer in multiple spots. And you can opt-out of room sanitization, which is a thoughtful touch.
The problem? Some of the details felt a little haphazard. Like, the Staff trained in safety protocol were lovely, but some seemed slightly flustered when I asked about the first aid kit. (Apparently, it was "somewhere in the back"). And the professional-grade sanitizing services seemed to have forgotten my room on one particular day. (Luckily, I’m not a germophobe, but if you are, maybe speak up immediately.)
On the plus side, the CCTV in common areas and outside the property were reassuring, and the Front desk [24-hour] meant someone was always there to assist with my multiple hilarious mishaps (more on those later).
*Dining, Drinking, and Snacking: From "Meh" to "Mom, I Love You"
The Breakfast [buffet]? A bit underwhelming. Think…adequate. Nothing to write home about. It did offer the basics: some coffee/tea, Western breakfast, fruit, and yogurt. Fine. But the Coffee shop? Much better! Solid espressos and delicious pastries – a lifesaver after a long day of exploring.
I only tried the A la carte in restaurant for dinner once, but it was a revelation. I had a salad that was so fresh and bursting with flavor that I almost shed a tear. And the Western cuisine in restaurant options were delightful. However, there are no Asian cuisine in restaurant or vegetarian restaurant options, which could be a downside for some people!
The Poolside bar was a major win. Happy hour cocktails and the Bottle of water were the perfect way to unwind after a day of scorching the sun on the beach. The Snack bar was convenient for mid-afternoon cravings, too. Room service [24-hour]? Blessedly available, perfect for those nights when all you want is to stay in your comfy robe and stare at the view.
Things to Do & Ways to Relax: A Sea of Possibilities (Get It?)
Okay, here's where Filia really shines. The Swimming pool [outdoor]? Gorgeous. Pool with view? Check. I spent hours just floating, sipping cocktails, and feeling completely zen. They’ve got a Fitness center, which I (ironically) only used once. (The Sauna, Spa and Steamroom? I'll be honest: I never made it).
But the massage…oh, the massage! I booked one, and it was divine. Seriously, the best massage of my life. They even offered a Foot bath, Body scrub, and Body wrap, which I sadly didn't get around to trying. But, next time!
The Room Itself: My Personal Oasis (Flaws and All)
Here’s the breakdown of the actual apartment:
- The Good: Air conditioning that actually works. Free Wi-Fi in all rooms! (and it was actually good wifi) . A Balcony (duh). Bathrobes and Slippers. A Refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, and Mini bar (convenient!). The extra long bed was fantastic - perfect for sprawling out after exploring. The Safe box. Blackout curtains (a lifesaver with all that sunshine!). The Complimentary tea. The Window that opens - essential for letting that sea breeze roll in! And the Seating area was perfect for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine. They even had an Umbrella! The Toiletries were pretty decent, too.
- The Not-So-Good: No additional toilet (a minor inconvenience.) The Bathroom phone seemed a little…dated. The Alarm clock (I used my phone). Yes, Wake-up service is available if you happen to not want to wake up yourself. There’s no Laptop workspace, but a desk is provided.
It did have a few quirks, which is why I'm calling it "real". One day, the shower decided to unleash a torrent of cold water just as I was about to get ready. The Mirror fogged up faster than a Greek fisherman's breath on a winter morning. But hey, those are just small imperfections that added to the character, right?
Services and Conveniences: A Mixed Bag (But Mostly Helpful)
- Concierge was fantastic, always had great recommendations for Things to do.
- Daily housekeeping was efficient and pleasant.
- Laundry service was available.
- Luggage storage was a lifesaver after my earlier trip.
- Daily housekeeping was excellent.
- Cash withdrawal was available.
- Currency exchange also available.
- Invoice provided.
- Elevator for the less-mobile.
- Doorman available.
- The Wi-Fi for special events wasn’t quite up to snuff, as the connection during my Zoom call with a friend cut out during my presentation.
For the Kids! (Or, What I Observed)
The hotel is family friendly and has a babysitting service.
Getting Around (And the "Donkey Incident")
- Airport transfer was really convenient.
- They offer a Car park [free of charge], which is important if you’re renting a car.
- Taxi service is readily available.
The Verdict: Worth the Hype? (Mostly)
Filia's Stunning A/C & WiFi Oasis definitely lives up to the "stunning" part. That view alone is worth the price of admission. The amenities are plentiful, the staff is mostly lovely, and the location is perfect for exploring the island. Yes, there were a few hiccups. But honestly, those imperfections are part of what made my stay memorable and kind of charming.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. (Minus one star for the slightly underwhelming breakfast and the slightly-less-than-perfect first aid kit.)

Alright, buckle up, buttercups, because this isn't your grandma's travel itinerary. This is more like… a fever dream, a slightly hungover recounting of a trip to Filia's Stunning Sea View Apartment in Greece. Let's be honest, the whole “stunning sea view” thing was mostly true, though sometimes the fog rolled in and you could barely see your hand in front of your face. Anyway… here we go:
The Slightly Chaotic Odyssey: Filia's Apartment & the Greek Islands (or: How I Spent My Vacation Trying Not to Get Lost… Again)
Day 1: Arrival & Utter Overwhelm (Plus, The Olive Oil Incident)
- Morning (ish): Arrive at Athens airport. The airport itself is… well, airports. You know, the usual: long queues, questionable coffee, the overwhelming scent of duty-free perfume. Finally get through Passport Control with minimal fuss (miracle!).
- Afternoon: Settle into the Rental Car I over paid for: (A Fiat Panda, naturally. Tiny, probably not the best for Greek mountain roads, but hey, it was available). Drive to Filia's place. The drive is… an adventure. Especially the last 1 kilometer where my GPS lost it's mind and tries to send me down what LOOKED like a goat path. (Turns out, it was)
- Late Afternoon: Arrive at Filia's. The view is kinda stunning. Breathe. Breathe. The apartment is cute. Well… functional, let's say. The pictures online definitely had better angles, but the balcony is indeed perched precariously on a cliff overlooking the, you know, sea.
- Evening: Unpack. Discover the air conditioning is slightly temperamental. It's either "Arctic Blast" or "Barely a Breeze." Choose "Barely a Breeze" to avoid pneumonia. Wander around the apartment, admiring the view and the very limited kitchen equipment. Decide to make a simple salad. Epic fail. The olive oil… exploded. Everywhere. The walls, my clothes, the ceiling. It looked like a Renaissance painting of the Last Supper, but with oil instead of blood. Clean-up takes a solid hour. Swear off cooking for the rest of the trip (mostly successful). Order takeout. It was delicious.
Day 2: Beach Bums & Backup Plans
- Morning: Discover the "beach" is actually a collection of rocks that can also be called a beach. Decide to roll with it. Pack a bag of sunscreen, a towel, and a book. Head down the cliffs, it was a deathwish!
- Afternoon: Rock beach is fine, but not what I wanted. Decided to bail and change plans, going to the nearest town.
- Late Afternoon: Explore the nearest town. Buy a ridiculous sun hat. Get ice cream. Consider buying a scooter, but my (lack of) driving skills hold me back. I feel…content.
- Evening: Dinner at a taverna. The octopus is incredible. The local wine is… potent. Laugh with the locals, who mostly stare, or ask what I am doing in their town!
Day 3: The Ferry of Doom (Seriously, I Think I Saw the Grim Reaper)
- Morning: Wake up with that fun, fuzzy feeling that indicates you've overindulged in the local vino. Decide to visit another island, because why not? Book a ferry. The website made it sound so straightforward.
- Late Morning: Arrive at the port. The ferry is HUGE, noisy, and full of screaming children and tourists. The lines are long, the sun is beating down, and I start to seriously question my life choices.
- Afternoon: Find a seat on the ferry and collapse. The ride is… bumpy. Very bumpy. I swear I saw the ocean spray change from blue to green. Start to feel seasick, even though I've never been seasick before. Contemplate the meaning of life. Realize that I forgot to bring my Dramamine. The ferry captain is either remarkably skilled or completely insane, as he navigates through what feels like a hurricane.
- Late Afternoon: Arrive on the island (alive! Mostly). Explore the harbor. Find a cute, little cafe and have the best freddo espresso of my life. Suddenly, all the ferry horrors are worth it!
- Evening: Eat a mediocre dinner & ride the ferry back.
Day 4: The Myth of Relaxation & The Monastery's Secrets
- Morning: Attempt to sleep in. Fail. The light is relentless. The air conditioning decides to enter "Arctic Blast" mode.
- Late Morning: Visit a monastery. This place is so old, it's kind of mind-blowing. The architecture is stunning, the silence is… unnerving. I feel like I've stepped into a different world, and the view is amazing!
- Afternoon: Wander around, marvel at how all of this was built before power tools and, you know, basic plumbing. Try to imagine what life was like back then. It was probably hard. Super hard.
- Late Afternoon: Drive back to the apartment, feeling both inspired and slightly overwhelmed.
- Evening: Pasta with pre-made pesto on balcony with sea view. Life. Is. Good.
Day 5: Souvenir Shenanigans & Saying Goodbye (Or: I Almost Packed My Entire Life)
- Morning: Panic about the fact that I'm leaving tomorrow. Realize I haven't bought any souvenirs. Head into town, determined to find something, anything to remember this trip by.
- Afternoon: Buy way too many things. Olive oil (again! This time in a bottle!), a ridiculously expensive hand painted bowl, and a t-shirt that says "I Survived the Greek Islands."
- Late Afternoon: Start packing. Realize the suitcase is overflowing. Consider mailing half my clothes home. Then realize that I don't want to say goodbye. Not yet.
- Evening: One final sunset over the sea. Sip some wine on the balcony. Feel a pang of sadness. Swear I'll be back to Filia's apartment and the "Stunning Sea View" one day. Or maybe next year.
Day 6: Departure & Existential Dread (Plus, the Last-Minute Souvenir Find)
- Morning: Wake up early. Force myself to pack. Double-check everything. Say goodbye to the apartment. The drive to the airport is surprisingly smooth.
- Afternoon: At the airport (again!). Buy a bag of olives and a tiny bottle of ouzo at the last minute, because why not. Board the plane. Feel a weird mix of sadness, exhaustion, and the vague feeling that I've forgotten something.
- Evening: Arrive home. Unpack. The memory of the olive oil explosion makes me smile.
Final Thoughts:
Greece was messy, beautiful, exhausting, and utterly unforgettable. It wasn't perfect. There were hiccups, mishaps, and moments when I wanted to throw my hands up and just give up. But it was real. It was a messy, glorious, imperfect adventure. And that, my friends, is exactly what I wanted. Until next time, Greece… and, you know, maybe I'll learn how to cook before I come back. Maybe.
